General Instructions for new registered users
Your Magic Links
To activate your greeting card service just add our "magic links" on one (or more) of your pages.
- Write a card:

Replace 12345678 with your own user ID.
The magic links call your customized version of the postcard program.
You can have any number of "magic links" at your site. However, it makes more sense to add both magic links to
a special "post office" page. You can then link to this page on many different places.
Driving traffic to your site
magic "write" link:
Select a place that is easily seen to inform your visitors about your new free service. We also recommend to add
a !NEW! link to your home page and link it to a separate "post office" page which contains the "write" link
and explains your new service. Your post office should also link to Frequently Asked Questions
at http://www.all-yours.net/prg/faqay.html
magic "read" link:
Postcard notification emails will contain a direct link to the card. After having picked up their cards some
users will visit your site to pick up their card again. You should therefore have a magic "read" link at your site
too. We therefore recommend that you create a separate "post office" page and install both magic links there.
Add a note about your site's content and link back to your home page. This will encourage interested users to
visit your home page. There's a link back to your home page on each individual postcard too!
Add your own pictures
Registered postcard users can have their own pictures on the main picture selection form (Step 1 form). By
entering a few blanks at Control Panel, you can replace the first, second... or all of the 8 default image
thumbnails on this form. Set up a lot more pictures on a separate "thumbnail collection" page at your site (optional).
Offer an unlimited number of images to your visitors (well, actually up to 2000).
Please do not set up boring or low quality images. It also wouldn't be very exciting for the many new users that
visit your site to see 8 pictures of your family members. Full size pictures should be 350-450 px wide. Please
note that your own pictures do NOT rotate on the Step 1 form so you may want to replace them from time to time.

Add your own music
Set up your own music files at your Control Panel:

Most postcard users don't want to wait for a big sound file to load. Therefore midi is the format of choice but
you can set up any other sound format such as real audio (.ra, .rm) or wave (.wav). We recommend NOT to use
files larger than 50 kilobytes.
Real Time Postcard Stats
In addition to our log emails we now provide an up to the second online reporting of your postcard site's
performance. Its a weekly breakdown and a graphical presentation.

database clean-up
We get lots of junk, test and fake registrations. We have to remove these on a regular basis. We delete datbase
entries of inactive postcard sites 3-4 times per year. Inactive means that no cards were written during a
period of 4 weeks or more. Please make sure that your post office always contains at least one postcard or you
might need to re-register your account after the clean-up.
Before we remove a registration, we of course notify sites that are considered inactive.
